Barbara Johnson's Diet

"I have a great diet. You're allowed to eat anything you want, but you must eat it in the company of naked fat people."

I'm not sure that would work in my case!

That is probably why the cast of Friends are all skinny.

[For all those not as young as I am, please take note of the important information below.]

A popular show about 6 stylish and super skinny friends living in New York City debuted in the early 90's. In the first few seasons, they had a neighbor in the building across the street which was lovingly named "Ugly Naked Guy". In this show, there were many references of this gentleman being overweight.

THAT will do the trick!

I'm sorry you were offended. This quote and picture came more from my own battles rather than pointing a finger at anyone else.

I also weighed SIGNIFICANTLY more than I do now. Despite the weight loss, I am not "thin" by any stretch of the imagination. I still battle with the weight issue daily.

My way of dealing with it is to laugh at myself and my issues. Otherwise, I just get too frustrated and depressed.

To Plado:
Not trying to be nasty, but if you have anyone to be offended at, it is not my wife. All she did was post the picture. The men in this picture obviously thought it was funny or they would not have posed for it, correct?
Therefore, the problem stems from some issues within yourself. I believe the men in the picture reflect a jolly, happy attitude about a great joke.
Lighten up and take it that way.
This was not an attempt to make fun of someone else... they were making fun of themselves.

Sometimes we all need to lighten up and find the fun in life. Me included. Being too serious or tempormental all the time can become a ball and chain.
